”MyLife”- I will go vegan!
As I wrote in an earlier post, ”MyLife” is where I will write because I really like it. Sometimes deep stuff is coming out in words and sometimes I want to inspire you in your ”normal” life, not only with movement and training.
A big challenge for me is coming up! Maybe YOU would like to join me? I have been an flexitarian for some years now, eating fish and veggie, sometimes chicken. Now I will be a vegan for 1 month, to start with. Why? Mainly because of 3 reasons.
- Challenge. I love challenges, and this one I have been looking at many times but never taken the step. Because I hate to be ”a problem” for friends and family, also because I love feta cheese, halloumi and egg. I´m so inspired by @plantbasedathlete ! He is one of the most humble and inspiring person I´ve met. He went from eating lots of meat to vegan some years ago, he only says great things about it! He is still one of the most well trained people I know, so you guys who are afraid of loosing check his IG!
- My own health. I have problems with my hormones and I have had that for a while now. As I wrote before I don´t have my period, I have problems with my energy and emotions the last 2 years, and a year ago I got these rashes on my cheek. I have been to different doctors, kinesiologists, a herbal doctor, acupuncture and so on. Some of these has helped me and today I feel better, but the rashes are still there and my period is still gone. I have read a lot of blogs and talked to a lot of people. Many women with similar problems started with a vegan diet and their hormones became more stable and some of them even got pregnant within a half a year! So I´m curious, how will my body respond and how hard is it to be vegan?
- The world and the animals. I have been reading, listening and watching documentaries about our world and how we as humans destroys it. How we handle our animals, throws rubbish around us, consuming things only because we wants it. How we clear rainforests to produce food to animals, instead of eating it ourself. It´s disgusting! I don´t believe that everyone have to be vegans/vegetarians, but EVERYONE have to cut the eating of animals and diary! Not only for the world, but also for your own health. You know they put really disgusting things into the food they give animals, like hormones…that will effect your health!
In Bali we watched ”Blue Planet 2” (which will be in SVT this spring) and ”A plastic ocean” at Netflix, see them! No, it´s not a happy story but we have to realize that all of us are responsible! ”Blue Planet” is by the way amazing, so professional and inspiring! There are so many great things to watch and read about this subject, but I´m a person who goes by feelings and stories from people I met. The stories I have been told and read about are inspiring, so now I will go for it! I will start with one month and I will start tomorrow morning, you know you can change things even at a Thursday! Yes, I´m nervous but even more curious =)
I will keep you posted about how I feel and maybe some recipes, mainly at IG @freetomovebyisabellefranzen
There will be tuff days when I will doubt myself, but then I look at this girl, the sun and all the great things life is giving us. I will make it! Are you with me?
We can do this together, inspire each other with recipes and maybe studies about vegan lifestyles!
(do you see the roses? So beautiful!)
